Missing children and teenagers phoneline/chat

On 15 September 2010 the standardised European Union number 116000 was implemented in Spain for cases of missing children and teenagers. The Ministry of the Interior chose the ANAR Foundation to handle the service, thanks to the close cooperation between the two institutions.

The telephone number for missing children and adolescents

The disappearance of a child or teenager always demands an immediate reaction, which may be decisive in saving their life.

Missing youngsters and their families must receive the psychological, technical and legal support they need at such times.

When is a child held to have disappeared?

In the case of runaways.
If they are subject to parental abduction.
In the case of unaccompanied migrants aged under 18.
If they are lost or injured.
Victims of criminal abduction.

How ANAR help?

Cooperates in reporting the event by immediately contacting the Police and Civil Guard.
Provides access to the network connection with all 116000 lines in Europe.
Helps to publicise the case and obtain clues for the investigation of criminal acts.
Offers legal and social advice.
Lends emotional support to families around the clock.
